Se Compra Silencio, 2018
Ten people enter a 2m x 3m room and recognize that something is already happening in the center of the floor. A naked body lies, bearing concrete blocks with a total weight of 120kg on its back.
This performance is a denunciation of power abuse based on a specific event in 2009. A 53-year-old man, weighing 80kg, abused of a 13-year-old girl weighing 40kg. The objects and the performer in the space are a proportional representation of these numbers. Using the rule of three, if the the performer weighs 60kg, the abuser would be calculated to weigh 120kg.

Labored breaths and movements are perceived, creating a mimicking of actions among observers. Except for the artist involved in the action, who, despite attempting to appear calm, shows signs of agony, highlighting the impact of the abuse and its lasting significance.

Everybody around observes the situation and exhales gasps of unease; some feel the urge to run away, very few to help. Time fades away, and although they couldn't define how long the visit lasted, they wanted it to stop.
